The Premier Head To Head Beer Competition
Founded in 2025, the San Diego Brewer's League (TM) is the premier head-to-head craft beer competition in San Diego County.
Brewery must have an active brewing facility within San Diego County
Brewery must not possess a brewing kettle system larger than 10 BBL
All competition beers must be brewed on a 10 BBL or smaller brewing system
All competition beer entries must not be distributed through individual packaging (i.e. cans or bottles) prior to their first entry
A current title holder may restrict ingredients, style guidelines, or process steps for any individual title defense ("Stipulations") as long as those restrictions are within the limits of the beer style.
New champions after a title change have the right to choose their first head-to-head challenger(s) without the need for a preliminary round.
At least three breweries will go head to head in a preliminary round to determine the number one contender for the held championship.
Competing breweries who finish within 1% of the vote of the preliminary winner automatically advance to the championship round
If a title is vacated, a subsequent competition will take place between the most recent former champion and a single challenger chosen at random . Both competitors may agree on any mutual Stipulations.
